I can't express enough how grateful I am for choosing to have a doula by my side during my birth. From our first prenatal meeting, Miranda made me feel calm and supported. Her knowledge and guidance throughout my pregnancy and postpartum were invaluable. She knew exactly when to offer reassurance and gave me space to listen to my body. Miranda is an AMAZING doula. She was available quickly when we needed her the most. She arrived just in time to help my husband catch our baby, since the midwife hadn’t made it yet. Miranda encouraged me, reminded me of important breathing techniques while pushing, and prayed with my husband and me, ushering in a presence of peace and calm. Even while everything was happening so quickly, she still made sure my mom was recording the birth, one of the few things I requested beforehand. After the birth Miranda helped settle me in bed, cleaned up our bathroom (where the delivery happened), got me something to eat and drink. She even wiped blood off the bottom of my husband’s foot, something he still talks about frequently! These are just a few examples of Miranda’s loving care, attention, and support. She was truly God-sent and we are ever so thankful for her!

Miranda was a blessing to us during our second birth! I cannot say enough good things about having her as our doula. She was so helpful leading up to the birth by answering all my questions and encouraging me to stay active and eat nutritious food. During labor she was engaged, hands on, and encouraging. She let me take the lead on how I wanted to labor and then helped me with counter pressure and massages. She stayed with me at the hospital until we were settled into our postpartum room. She was awesome and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a natural birth experience!

I loved having Miranda as my doula! I decided I wanted (rather needed!) a doula at 37 weeks for my home birth. Someone recommended Miranda, so I reached out. Miranda was quick to respond and was able to work me into her schedule. She was so kind from the beginning! During labor, Miranda had such a calm presence and was very supportive for me and my husband. You think you’ll know what you what or need during labor, but sometimes it ends up being completely different. Miranda was flexible towards what I needed and wanted and worked with me to get me as relaxed and comfortable as possible. She even stayed to help me breastfeed. There is not a short way to describe all the amazing ways Miranda contributed to my birth experience. From birth prep, to being a calm and consistent member of my care team to remind me of my power and options as the mother/parents of our child coming into the world, to active labor support that made SO much difference, to again an empowering voice while pushing, to postpartum support… if you’re looking for a doula- look no further, you’ve found the best! I highly highly recommend!
